  • Not as good as previous bottles. This almost felt off. There was a very earthy undercurrent and the clarity of the fruit wasn’t what I remember. Not sure if this is an off bottle or the maturation process took a wrong turn.

  • Very complex, strawberry, red berries, very delightful and refreshing, not heavy or sticky, violet, oak touch well balanced with berries, maybe earthy, a bit spicy (both very well balanced and doesn't hurt its strawberry kind of freshness).
Mid-high sweetness, high sourness, very high umami, very well balanced, very long delightful finish.

  • Method: semi-blind; decanted off sediment and back into bottle 1 hour before tasting; Cab glass; chilled

    Look: Medium Ruby

Nose: Lighter red fruit (strawberry), floral, faint forest, light orange peel

Palate: Ripe strawberry, blood orange; med+ finish dried herbs, tarragon, white pepper; dry; medium+ body; medium+ tannin; med+ to high- acidity; low- heat

Overall thoughts: Good flavor, decent complexity and nice body, but the higher tannin and especially the heat threw me off and I didn't guess this was a Pinot. I would've liked this quite a bit more if I couldn't detect the heat, even though it wasn't very noticeable. This isn't what I'm looking for when I open a Pint (even a big CA Pinot), but it's still a very good wine.

  • Great fruit on the palate but a little short on acid. Imprecise finish, a bit muddled.

  • This bottle was exceptional, this felt like it was the perfect time to drink this. This was a pop and pour with a couple other New and Old World Pinot's. Drank over six hours. I am very hesitant to invest in new world Pinot, but this changed my mind. this absolutely smoked the Bergstrom, and was a level up from the Ceritas and Williams Selyem we drank side by side. I still prefer Burgundy, but this was very close, just lacking a bit of tannin structure that I have come to love from Burgundy. Dark fruit on the nose, black tea, lavender, special! Awesome mouthfeel, balancing the acidity with the JESUS juice! Definitely leaves you wanting more. Catherine, great work on this and excited to continue the journey with you in years to come!
