Velvety/rich texture, dark fruits with hint of sweet almond/mascarpone on the nose, palate a nice mix of dark fruits, caramel/honey and the peppery bite of Syrah, with hints of bacon fat/richness, and nice balancing acidity on the finish. Very nice

I continue to be impressed with the quality and value of Cabot wines. The 2006 Klamath Cuvee is a blend of Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon, and it works well, producing a wine of distinctive character. It shows the sort of earthy, coffee-ish, and woody flavors I associate with young right-bank Bordeaux. Delightful, and an absolute steal at $18/bottle. I wish I'd bought more.

Vibrant color. A nice bright fruity nose with some flowers and a hint of smoke. On the palate there's a moderate level of fruit, mostly blueberry/blackberry with a slight tannic grip on the finish and a meaty/bacon note on the finish. Great balance and interesting flavors.

Peppery chewy Syrah with cocoa and oak spice. Hard to beat for the price.
