  • A quality Grenache, the nose giving off black pepper, ripe purple/black fruit, not cheap confectionery flavors but authentic dark plum and even some meaty notions. The palate is fruit forward, juicy ripe plum, smoke, mixed spices, then--thanks to its youth--gets tangy and tight on midpalate. Reminiscent of a good Côtes du Rhône or maybe even Vacqueyras without the garrigue.
