I tend to think that anything marked "Winemaker's Selection" (or similar) tends to be a way of dressing up dross. This isn't dross, but it isn't great. Typical nose of cola, plums, blackberries, vanillan oak a minor player. Palate is more blue and black fruits, some oak, but finishes with a sherbet/lemon acidic twang.
