The 2011 vintage from the Barossa wasn't great. That said, this wine makes a good fist of it. Red fruits (mulberries), cigar box, a faint menthol note on the nose. The palate is only just medium bodied, but the flavours (same as nose, maybe some licorice now too) are there, and it avoids being too jammy. And after some time in the glass, some initial jarring finishing acidity sorted itself out. It's just a bit short and lacking in intensity for more points.

Sight: Medium Ruby Nose: Strawberry syrup, herbs, black pepper Palate: Fresh berries, Light-medium bodied. Bright and Taut. Unexpectedly light red from barossa.
