Decanted and sowing little to no sediment. Translucent and light in the glass with brick red hues that perhaps suggests more age than actual. Once evolved with airtime aromas present with notes of smoked cherry, red currants, dried cranberry, herbs, dried rose, earth, sous bois and lighter hints of spice and cola. The palate has a light body and is reflective of the vintage, but also built with firm tannins and above moderate acidity. Flavors pop with the notes of Alderwood smoked cherries, bramble, red currant and dried cranberries that come in tow with notes of dried rose, dried herbs, tar, earth, sous bois and pepper spice and hints of cola. The finish is long and slightly chewy.

Bright cherry fruit upon opening. After time in a decanter it moved to being more earthy and closing off the fruit notes. After about and hour and a half it came into a beautiful balance with cherry and red currants on the front palate. The back palate had nice notes of mushroom and burnt cedar wood.

Nice typicity, aromas of strawberry, hues of garnet and a light translucent body. The pallet showed freshness, great acidity, and a finish more than respectable.

A little disappointing, especially at this price. More tannin and tar than I like.
