This will ultimately be labeled Barlow Homestead. All on goldridge dust. Just out side of Sepastpol (sp?) with a direct vent into the Petaluma gap. So a really beautiful diurinal shift here. As a result more higher tonned with brighter acidity. No whole cluster. 20% new oak.
Actually, I like its smell more than the Estate Cuvee. But that is just me. Palate isn't quite as full and rich as the Estate Cuvee and yes there is more tension. But the wine is all there.

Bright ruby red with translucency around the edges, medium body, wonderful bouquet of tart cherries, on the palate, dark cherries, red fruits with youthful tannin present. Has structure and layering and is just a little young. Beautiful pinot that should only improve with time.

Really open and rich Cali fruit expression on the nose. Palate is maybe just a tiny bit reductive, nice structure. Holds the wine well. At $50 maybe a touch over?

May have left these last two bottles a wee bit too long. Fruit noticably decreased but still a lovely pinot.
