  In line with last note. Aging quality southern Rhone reaching plateau. Had it in combo with spiced short ribs which overwhelmed the wine a bit. 9 years has really made this wine lighter on its feet.

  Wine shows signs of aging; transparant with Brickish notes fading to the edges.
  modest nose with saddle leather, a bit of smoke, tobacco, a bit stewed fruits in the back.
  On the palate surprisingly fresh, good acidity with some rasp/strawberry but also some prunes and dried raisins due to the 9 years of age. Herbes de Provence, laurel and cigar box. a mineral note on the finish which overall is pretty long.
  A pretty interesting wine and this shows Vaqcueras can age beautifully and become quite sophisticated. The PQR on this one is outstanding (13 euros at the domaine)
  I have two bottles left which I will drink in the coming 3 years.

  Needed a couple of hours to breathe and after that seemed to relax into itself.
  Raspberry predominated on the nose and palate. In a good way.
  It had a tickle of something....leather, saddlebags, something like that, in the finish.
  Pretty good.
