Wow! Aromas and flavors of pear, lemon peel, lychee, mango, pineapple most are overripe. Followed by cheese, toast, honey, hay, mushroom, and dried apricots. Acid is holding up! Drink through 2026

Winter Solstice Tasting @ JD's home (Groot-Ammers): Winter Solstice tasting. Served in the same flight as the 2013 Louis Jadot Montrachet Grand Cru. Weird, but interesting nose of waxed cheese crust. Not bad, but not very good either.

Winter Solstice Tasting (Jan-Dirk Taams' residence, Groot-Ammers, Netherlands): A blend of 36% Marsanne, 34% Roussanne, and 30% Viognier, used French oak, 14.1% ABV. Cheese rind nose opens up to a lovely complexity, ripe apple; remarkably refreshing acidity, juicy fruit, lovely intensity and drive, good complexity; very good resonance and length.

Pineapple, mango, fruit up front, finishes with mineral and creaminess, with a bit of saltiness.
