Chris L's 'Minor Burgundy' Offline (RSJ, London): Quite a full, almost beetrooty nose. Ripe and rounded attack, a slight spritz on the mid-palate, a little stewed. Not sure. Slight secondary fermentation? Excessive CO2? **

UK Wine Pages - 1997 Off-line (Colombier Restaurant - Chelsea): Vary mature appearance, pale garnet/mahogany core, wide rim. Interesting, mature nose, red-toned fruit, some earth, quite sweet and slightly meaty. Gamey raspberry fruit on the initial attack, lacks a little depth and falls apart a little on the short, acidic finish. Average/good.

(Laurent Dominique Fixin Les Hervelets) Medium colour. The nose starts a little unusual, green boiled vegetables - asparagus - slowly takes on a more classic pale red nose at the core, actually it was better than it sounds! Quite fresh, though the acidity is a little spiky and penetrating but there’s a mineral edge too. Mouthwatering with a mineral length. Interesting but I wouldn’t buy any…

Wines of 1997 Offline (Le Colombier): Medium, even pale, garnet; an estery, leathery earthy nose; a bit too acidic and tannic with a medium(-) finish.
