Bright ruby red with lots of red fruit on the nose. The palate follows the nose with red fruit, black cherry and currant - but is distractingly tart. Tannins are moderate and dry. Finish is medium. Overall an average wine and I suspect not the best effort for Vieux Clos. It has hit its peak in the cellar and should be consumed.

Somewhat tannic when opened, but soon became mellow. Grand aroma of mixed berries.
