Hard wine to wrap your head around — meunier-heavy grower champagne, but with 8g dosage. And it defied east categorization — sweet and fruity and big and easy drinking like the dosage would suggest, but with an interesting brooding herbal character the grower / meunier would suggest. Good stuff. Less impressive on day 2 so I’d say don’t age it too long.

A very nice champagne at the level; good richness and roundness on the palate, but with sufficient acidity so as to prevent this from feeling too autolytic or leesy. A little bit of almond and brioche as well.

Final bottle of three originally purchased. Last consumed about three years ago. Nice intensity, find bubbles, luscious citrus and berry fruit, chalk, faint leesy notes. Not sure what the discordagement date was for this bottling but it was originally purchased in 2015 and drinking beautifully.

Straw coloured, strong (almost invasive) toasty, apple pie. Creamy mouthfeel and has a very dinstinct saline taste.
When paired with cured trout and Parisian white ham, the taste becomes sappy, bitter lemons. Interesting champagne
