  • Double decanted. After a coupleof days it became noticeably tired

Initially, beautiful sage and bacon with black fruit. Would not in any way have thought new world

A few days later, losing its way with meat course, showed life when paired with cheese

Not a great deal of life before it will start to decline

  • A nice wine but is it 97 points ?.......No.
Does it taste like chocolate ?.........No
slight cedar/oak ? not sure do they make barrels out of cedar ?
Seriously I think some of these wine tasters need to get a grip.
These wines are made with grapes and if you think they taste like chocolate then you need to switch brands.
The wine itself has received many accolades and awards from San Francisco to who knows where.

This wine has a peppery nose,a wiff of alcohol,a bit of earth, it is medium bodied with a light weight of fruit.
A stalky flavour slightly acid with a dash of tannin.
A mid line finish with lingering tannin.
Not a bad drop with improvement to come.
Chocolate, cinammon stick and star anise ? no way............these guys need to get out more and stop smoking weed.

    August 2019
The wine is throwing some sediment .
That pepper is still there , on the nose a wiff of oak , alcohol still in check.
    Holding up quite well.
