Mid-Week Chill (Tung Lok Signatures, Central): Decent, but I think this is about as good as the wine will get in its evolution. It had a lifted nose of preserved red dates, red berries and plenty of wood spice. The palate showed a decent amount of freshness along with surprisingly sappy red fruits on the attack, again dates and berries, and then a nice earthy layer on the mid-palate and a slightly drying, woody finish. Not the richest, deepest or most complex, there is even a touch of rustic austerity in there, but it all comes together in a not unpleasant way. Simple, but decent.
