This wine is the closest thing to Burgundy among all the NW Pinot Noirs that I have tried. Stylistically resembles a Vosne-Romanee with it's red cherry, spice, earth and tea-like scents. On the quality scale it falls right in between a Village and a 1er Cru from a good producer. Ripe and elegant, with a high albeit perfectly integrated alcohol, the wine is just lacking a tad bit of an extra special dimension on the backend to call it truly remarkable.

In my view this wine is to a Grand Cru Chambertin what Oakville, Napa Cabernet is to a Chateau Latour. Complex, dark fruit, licorice, earth, underbrush in a beautiful framing of delicate oak.
Highly recommended.

Dark Pinot with orange rim. Ripe red fruit, black currant and smoke. Warm climate wine with high alcohol.

Light/medium ruby.
Red fruits, pepper nose.
Not as impressed as I was in 2017 and I think this needs to be drunk up.

Showing some age at the rim; a little undistinguished on the nose, earthy and heady; a little sweet and diffuse. Age hasn't much for this. So so.
