Somewhere between ruby and deep purple. Attractive nose of plums and blackcurrants, and an intense note that I associate with Petit Verdot. On the palate, beautifully balanced: the fruit is generous, there's a lick of fine tannin, and a long, smoky finish. very good indeed: a serious wine that is also seriously pleasurable. I imagine this will age nicely for 3 to 5 years. 14.5%, fancy screwcap.
ProWein 2014: Interesting blend of Merlot, Syrah and Petit Verdot. Complex black fruit with spice and oak. Full bodied with some drying tannins but this has potential to show very well with a few more years in bottle.
