  • A beautifully fresh nose with oyster shell, lime zest, and tarragon. It may sound weird, but it smells of a fresh morning rain. On the palate, it's a wine of contrasts that add to a greater whole. Seemingly light to midweighted but intense with filigree fine detail, lift and a sense of weightless intensity. Stealing form other viticultural regions, it has Saar or Chambolle like delicacy. A wine that tells tomes while speaking quietly. Beautiful. Mouthwateringly fresh and effortless. It dances on the palate. Finishes mouthwateringly fresh yet clean yet simultaneously long. At peak. Fantastic in a less is more mode. I really love V-M's style. Yum.

  • Chicago ♥ Willi Schaefer (Chicago, IL): A slightly grassy nose, with some sweet golden apple notes as well, this is actually quite aromatic and entrancing. Always a good sign. The palate is very dense and powerful, taut with acidity and balance between some green herbs, granny smith apples, and some mineral elements. Not hot at all on the finish, this shows remarkable restraint despite all the dense elements and extract.
