Hard to determine typicality of a Chenin from AZ (at least for me), but this reminded me of a juicier version of a lightly oaked Cali chardonnay (note: this wine was done 1/3 steel, 2/3 oak). The alcohol was definitely up there with some of the napa Chards at 14.1%, but it was well integrated and not a "hot" wine. I really loved this example - creamy, nice acidity, long long pleasant finish (esp. with an hour of air). I think this wine is especially versatile as a white and could be paired with everything from briny seafood to light cream pasta dishes.
