Bright cherry red, dull shine, no evidence of age on the rim. On the nose, tart red raspberries, red currants, a bit of grilled fat and a bare touch of spiced vanilla. On the palate, surprisingly broad, high-toned red fruit, a little more of that meaty note, balanced acidity, and superfine tannins. Good, well-balanced Burgundy, especially at the village level. Probably at it's apogee, though I suspect it has at least another 2-3 years at this plateau of maturity and another 2-3 after that. I wouldn't push beyond 2026--just to be safe. I only have 2 more bottles so if the price is right I'd probably buy a few more. Very good.

Knightsbridge 2011 Burgundy Tasting and Sale (Northbrook, IL): Tasting, brief note. Forward and ripe red cherry and berry with good overall balance to drink young. Slightly simple, but good.
