Normally, I’d give an Ampelos Pinot more time, but when the 2007 I pulled turned up madradized and I had to dump it, I had only this for comparison. Both bottles came as part of the quarterly wine club shipment. While it delivers some pretty cherry, orange peel, and earth notes, nothing here impressed me; more of an “eh” reaction than anything else. Nothing compelling. Some sediment, but not much. 14.3% alc. With duck cassoulet. Recommended with reservations.
