Nose: smoke, tea, black fruits Notes: you can almost taste that this is a weak vintage, quite light for its pedigree. Not too interesting for me to be honest. Maybe another 2-3 years of cellaring could improve it? The lack of concentration and a loose focus simply suggests that even a great chateau cannot escape from the mediocrity of an appalling vintage. Tight at the moment, it takes effort to find the tobacco, cassis and smoke filled character. Medium bodied, with a cassis and fresh,, juicy, cherry finish. This needs a few more years to develop.

Cherry pipe tobacco, licorice, earth and spice are on the nose. With a bright, spicy and fresh personality, the wine delivers a lively, crisp and structured finish featuring cassis, pomegranate and blackberry finish. Blending 65% Merlot, 32% Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% Cabernet Franc, the wine reached 13.2% alcohol with a pH of 3.6. From yields of 33 hectoliters per hectare, the wine represents 39% of the crop. 90-93 Pts

2013 editon of En Primeur - Kelly and Kevin’s excellent adventure; 3/26/2014-4/1/2014 (Mostly in Bordeaux and a night in Paris): Fresh blue fruits, blueberry jam, very floral, graphite, mushroom and earth. Medium body, silky palate and nice finish. Certain neither really concentration nor expressive but showing nice balance and freshness.
