I dont love thé non traditional blend (Syrah and Sangiovese?) but this really delivered. On the pnp, cork was stained ⅓ the way up, no sediment or bricking. Nose eas deep dark fruit and stone. On the palate, the mouthfeel was thinner than I’d maybe expect, but the flavor was opulent without being cloying, and had just a hint of that gravel/graphite thing that makes cab fun. Other than the heat of alcohol (near 15%), this was outstanding.

PNP with red beans and rice. Cork without staining, no ox, bricking, sediment. Nose is red fruit, cement, earth, spice. Mouthfeel is soft and viscous. Palate has strong tannins overpowering the fruit a bit, and there is minimal oak influence. Overall, I was surprised how young this seemed, and my others I will keep a few years before opening. As it is, it’s a better-than-average California cab; mostly primary big purple fruit, but with enough structure and interest to be enjoyable.

Lovely nose. Taste is smooth luscious wood chips. Great with food or standalone. Soft and supple, a really chill wine. A little bit pricey, so not a super great QPR. But if you can get it at the club price, go for it.
