Medium to deep ruby color. Faint nose of spice and earth, but the acid was out of whack on the palate, with virtually no fruit left. May be dying. Drink up?

Medium to deep ruby color. Cork stained through to the top; capsule was adhered to the cork with the seepage. Nevertheless the wine was in good condition. Nose of spice, black cherry, dry earth and pencil lead with some violet notes after an hour or so of air. Medium bodied on the palate with flavors of tart cherry. Soft tannins and decent length.

Varietally correct nose but there is something definitely wrong on the palate; my wife and I both independently noticed this. Slight prickly sensation on the palate as of secondary fermentation. Cork is stained to the top, but not pushed out. Tastes very off. (Bought from the winery, and kept cool).

Not as earthy as most cab franc's, although that is definitely there. Big, ripe fruit.
