JD Friday Wine Group - John C host (City Club FW - Wine Room): Served blind - fairly dark in the glass, so the appearance did not look like a pinot - at least not obviously. But the nose was there, lots of sweet cherry and cola. Sweet red fruit on the palate, with more cherry cola, and the slightest hint of earth, and in a great spot. This wine was obviously a Sonoma coast pinot, but I thought it was younger than it was. I guessed a 2015 or younger Sonoma pinot.

Past peak. Red fruit and straw here but not shining. Taste is mineral and earth.

Drinking very well, but still has good supporting acidity. Cola and ripe red cherries and plums.

Wow. Drinking so beautifully. So much more delicate than many WS. Such a range of secondary flavors with no loss of fruit. An outa ding achievement.
