  • Really delicious. Blind, I would have taken this for a Riesling trocken from a good source. The nose has a similar fragrance of white fruit and flowers and even a hint of petrol. The palate was medium bodied and not quite bone dry showing white fruit, a hint of citrus, fine minerals, an underlying roundness hinting of toffee together with moreish acidity and backbone leading to a fragrant finish. The store's last bottle, alas. Very good.

  • Groundhog Day (Taberna Palo Cortado - Madrid): Supposedly a well aged and aureate bottle. Only a few monolithic aromas of chalk on the nose and a very short throat gulp. It does not impress me at all.

Supuestamente una botella bien envejecida y aureada. Ya sólo unos monolíticos aromas a tiza en nariz y un trago en garganta muy corto. No impresiona nada.

  • Appearance - clear, medium lemon

nose - clean, medium, youthful, ripe fresh fruit. I saw another reviewers notes about fruit salad and I agree. You smell lots of fresh fruits. A medley like you would in a fruit salad. Get Mcintosh apples, bananas, very ripe mango (like when it is mushy) kiwi, green grapes, with ripe lemon spritzed over all of it for freshness. There is a little medicinal that you can pull out on the nose

Palate - dry, a little fizz on the palate, medium acidity, medium alcohol, medium body, flavor intensity is medium, tasting, more citrus on palate - very ripe sweet pink grapefruit, ripe Mcintosh apples, lemon ice, melon, some minerality, overall seems balanced and medium finish.

I think this is a nice wine. I've only really had dessert version Tokaji, which I do enjoy, so this is a pleasant surprise. Seems pretty versatile as a match for fish, chicken, a possibility for sushi, aperitif, someone who like Chardonnay but has a issue with oak. Although the label states that there is some oak, I don't really taste the flavors and assume if just has to do with solidifying the body. Ok, maybe the oak is responsible for the slight cedar fizz on tongue.

A lovely wine for the price point.

  • Very pale, almost clear. A slight spritz on opening. Aromas of fruit salad, ripe apple, peach, pear, pineapple and lots of lime and mineral. Light to medium bodied, great acid and focus, clean, lime and herb flavors, nice balance. Acid is quite pronounced but not aggressive, though I can feel it in my stomach. Deceptively simple and a pleasure to drink. This would make a great aperitif or paring with sushi.
