Had this wine at La Corniche in Arcachon. A very dark red color with a nice fruity nose, this Pessac wine was decent to drink now, but I think it just needs more time in the bottle or a proper decant. We did not ask for decanters as we had other wines, so I felt the flavor was a bit subdued. I would imagine with a proper 2 hour decant, the fruit of the wine would come through a bit more.

As always, one of the best red Pessacs, even in this tough vintage. Aromatic, gravelly, with ripe berry and chocolate plus attractive cool-vintage green notes, tobacco. Palate has good expression and cut, and relatively sweet tannins. Really nice.

UCGB tasting Bordeaux 2013 (Amsterdam): In the bouquet dark forest fruits, chocolate and graphite. On the palate dark berries and graphite as well, but also a lot of green impressions. Good acidity and firm tannin. 88 – 89 for today.

Bordeaux UGC 2013 (Singapore): Fairly tannic and oaky. This needs more time. 88+

Tasting Bordeaux 13-12-11-10 in Hong Kong (Visiting Vinexpo 2016, I finally tasted Bordeaux 2013s from bottle, plus earlier vintages): There are red fruit aromatics and the palate has smoothness, but the finish is austere and a bit hard.
