  Cherry on the nose. Black cherry, berries and chocolate on the palate. Very acidic and tannic. Unremarkable, but it got better after being open for an hour. Originally I was going to rate it an 84 but it improved to about an 86. That's how I ended up at an 85 rating. Drinkable but certainly not elite. About what you would expect from a wine made from vinifera grapes grown in the Northeast. It's just really hard to make a traditional red varietal in northern states.
