Community Tasting Notes (1)

  • Popped and poured then followed over a week.
Unique nose, with a green note on day one, almost of geranium - not quite pleasant. Stems? But from day two and later this note integrated very well with the underlying fruit and gave a very special, beguiling note of blood oranges. Never found anything similar in a pinot noir.
On the palate it was light, fresh, savory, also with blood oranges. Tannins are a bit rustic and it is somewhat drying on the finish, But overall this was special and very enjoyable. My first wine of this producer and I will certainly try more.
