Very elegant, pure and compact. Quite a countryside feel, still very polished. I think it’s an intense Pinot Noir, but still less intense than expected from a Chambertin.
Didn’t need long time in the glass to express itself in a beautiful way. With intensity, compact aromas of red wild forest berries (like strawberry, blackberry, cranberry), dark cherry, hints of damp moss, raw mushrooms, black hibiscus tea, hints of violets, bayleaves, cloves, dried goji berries, caramel, and some crushed chalk and dry gravel hit the nose. Medium body, silky tannins with a mild grip and a medium+ acidity. Wild strawberry, dark and slightly sweet cherry, dried raspberry and cranberry, white pepper, orange peel, cloves, and a big mineral touch of iron/blood and chalk.
