An IGP blend of Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot from Provence. Heady perfume of red cherries, raspberries and a hint of white pepper leap from the glass. Unusual to find such exuberance in a wine of just 13.5% ABV. Youthful and fresh on the palate, evocative of zesty red fruit with ripe and supple tannins; the acidity crying out for something rich and savory. A thick slab of animal protein perhaps? Went great with flame-grilled chimichurri steak. Not a lot of evolution drinking over a couple of hours; nonetheless, it was eminently quaffable.

Russk. Not much nose. Smells slightly of young cab and syrah. Nice mouth. Good balance. Hits me like a cross between a decent Bx Superior and an super Tuscan. Nice low alcohol and solid acidity. Would buy again for $16.

Great QPR. It tastes like light toast, chocolate, blackberry, blueberry and black currant (cassis). The body is medium. The wine has smooth texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has medium acidity.

After 8 years, this summer is the perfect time to drink this bottle (the magnum). Excellent QPR ratio, taste profile of a really good C-d-P.
