  • 04-itis. Rich refined tannins, nicely savory, shows some Vosne spice character as it breathes up, but this is missing the top half of the wine. It's not horribly green, but there's enough of whatever the 04 stuff is to mask the fruit. You can see the quality of the terroir, but it's not actually that pleasurable.

  • lovely wine that is somewhat stern like the vintage, but welcoming and spicy. Still neeeding time. Glad I bought this wine.

  • Medium ruby color. Nose blossomed beautifully with air, showing scents of juniper berry, mulberry, sea air, lily, and earth. Sharp entry on the palate with nicely-defined layers of tart cherry, iron filings, stems, and underbrush. Green notes crept in slightly at the end and there was astringency on the finish. Quite acidic with fine-grained tannins. Moderately long finish of red fruit, stem notes, a bit of bitterness, and earth. Hard to know where this is going; nose portends some degree of promise and the palate could conceivably integrate. If I had another, I'd wait 5-10 years.

  • Good color with no browning, although not much blue, either. Some pyrazines perhaps evident, but not bothersome. Medium-weight, still with some tannin, with time Vosne spice comes out and the wine is elegant and pure. Needs 5-10+ years to full maturity, though.

  • Advanced and slightly bitter. Not really green per se, but certainly not a successful vintage for this wine.
