No real signs of age, very moderate amount of sediment. Deep purple to inky black. Nose is light and earthy deepening with exposure to air. No evident acidity, quite well balanced. Very enjoyable. This bottle had perfect storage so you might have differing results if your bottles had less than perfect storage. Enjoyed with Pasta and Meatballs at the Venetian on Cannon Street, Pt Loma, San Diego. We were not charged a Corkage Fee, very nice of the Venetian as we are regulars.
