Dense aromas of blackberries, cherries, and clay. A slight banana aroma along with violets. A lot of complexity. On the tongue: cherries, cocoa, oregano. A fair amount of tannins. Long finish and lots of complexity.

Nose of tart cherry, dust, wood, bonfire, sulfur and ash. Much of the same on the palate, with added notes of herbs and sweet autumn leaves. Juicy. Dry but lingering finish. Lovely.

My first Cos. Pnp it gave less on nose, was lighter, more transparent, and red berries fresher and primary. More natural wine feel. A 21/2 hour decant gave a whole different wine. Much more serious, full bodied and deeper. Solid and complete. Mature red fruits, earthy notes and minerals. Not sure I have ever had a 12.5% abv wine giving away this feel. Great experience and surprise. Lovely with grilled superior entrecote (rib-eye).
