  • Kinda meh on the front palate. Earthy mid and not a long lasting finish.

  • Day 2. This opened up after sealing with rubber stopper overnight .Dark fruits like bing cherry and plum fading to strawberry, cedar and spice on the finish. I pick up some orange mentioned by other tasters. Very nice and more complex than a second Pinot we had.

  • After buying a case from the agent based on the previous note I tried a bottle. Initially a little tight but after 30 minutes of air, whoa! Stunning, classic, Pinot nose! Aromas of red cherry, dark cherry, thyme, orange peel, dry soil, anise springs, cardamom, and cedar. Just intoxicating! The palate is just right with low dusty tannin, elevated acid, luscious velvety cherry fruit, and a long finish that replays many elements of the nose. Just an awesome Pinot Noir! My only minor gripe is that this is ever so slight reduced and could use some age/air to resolve.

  • Barnyard and berries on the nose, with youthful tannins, reserved fruit opened up a little over an hour but not much. Will be interesting to see if the fruit opens up in a few years, more terroir now.

  • Medium ruby in color, this wine revealed cranberry, damp earth, minerals and tart cherry on the nose. The mouth feel was soft with more minerals and forest floor undertones. The finish was a little short with undertones of tart cherry.

Purchased for $29US, this was somewhat of a disappointment with its lack of fruit, always in the background. Needs food to show its best.

Imported by Terlato Wines International, Lake Bluff, IL.
