Tasted during a South Australia vineyard safari. Expressive nose of red and black fruit with minerals. Medium bodied, quire airy and elegant for a Shiraz of this density. Tannins are young though and need a bit of time.

McLaren Vale, Scarce Earth, 2012 single block shiraz tasting (Bistro Moncur, Sydney): Red and black berry and plum. Green peppercorns and spice - in fact very spicy with slight cedar notes. In the mouth the initial impression is quite peppery with medium plus acid and flavours of red plums, chocolate and fine, silky, persisting tannin. Very long and juicy with tangy acidity on the long finish. Very young. Very pleasant
