This bottled drank like an old school, structured, not super ripe beaujolais. A medium bodied, 'crunchy' wine, with tannins and acid battling the fruit, which was in the red fruit spectrum but also had herbal notes too. A little disjointed perhaps, but a good, serious gamay (B+).

12.5% - Clear, med+ ruby / clean, med intensity - black cherry, strawberry, wet forest floor, mushroomy, violet scent, light peppery note / dry, med+ acidity, med to light body, med to low silky tannin, med intensity, med+ length. Superb Moulin-a-Vent and the best bottle at last. This one was singing!

There must be some serious bottle variation with this wine. An earlier bottle in July was very ordinary, yet this wine was absolutely quintessential top cru bojo. Lifted minerally red fruits on the nose, more blood orange, tangy minerally iron notes on the palate. Lots of fresh acidity with great length. A lovely not overwrought MaV

Fresh and vibrant, black pepper and herbs, low in fruit, kind of short.
