Occasionally you need to revisit the Chardonnay reference, and, hey, this one nailed it. Honey, butter, flint stone, vanilla, peach, pears, wild apple, lemon zest in perfect balance. Wonderful freshness. A truly hedonist moment and so sad that these wines are pricing themselves into speculators' bank safes, to serve vanity. Who will be left to appreciate and hail the greatness of this cultural heritage in the future?

Well structured and typical PM, with ample minerality, flint stone, honey, citrus aromas, white fruit and nuts. Wonderful pairing with our grilled gambas. Drink now and over the next 2 years

Wines with the HDH Auction (Spiaggia): Next to the 11 Moreau Chenevottes, this was a bit more simple and plodding. Good richness and plenty of spice to the orchard fruit. Modest acidity.

Jadot CSJ and Whites: Solid but starting to lose its fruit and charm. Comes across a bit blocky and even hard in some ways. Past its peak window.

Jadot Tasting: Young Blanc 1er Cru and Gevrey Clos St Jacques Vertical (House of Nanda - Chicago IL): Single blind in flight. Lush fruit, still nicely fresh, just also slightly lacking energy. Good now. The negociant bottling.
