All yeasty richness with a slight metallic reductive edge and a strong but balanced acid line. Strong and linear and focused and tight. Which was great, and, I dunno, somehow didn’t totally wow me the way I thought it would. Still good, still enjoyed having it, but not a showstopper.

Tasted at Les Crayeres, this wine had a medium yellow center and light bubbles. The medium intensity nose showed of apples, pears, minerals, and some oxidation.
In the mouth this is round and rich with some acidity and length.
While nice, I found this wine to be less than special.

Eric's visit to DC - Champagne, White Burgundy, Rhone, Piedmont and etc. (Officina - Washington D.C.): Beautifully integrated expressive nose displaying ripe and rich yet pure yellow fruit, lemon curd, candied lemon peel, white and yellow peach, candied ginger, smoke, marzipan and limestone mineral. Excellent concentration, nicely layered yellow fruit, rich yet pure and refreshing, generous fine mousse, good acidity and mineral, and a long sweet yellow fruit driven finish with a hint of smoke and ginger at the end. It is drinking beautiful. This has reached the youthful peak.

Lavender on nose. Touch oxidised notes.
Apple on the palate. Chalky.
Almost no bubbles. Like a quality burgundy

Doften ger Råg, dova toner från fet grädde, jordgubbar, nektarin
Smaken känns ofärdig. För tidigt öppnad således. Gröna äpplen, hummer, sommarjordgubbar.
Bör få ligga åtminstone fem år till. Kanske mer än så.
92++
