  • My first Nosiola, and ripping good. Clear, pale yellow. Nice mix of powdered marble, lime dripped on green melon, melon rind, soft floral tones. On the palate this at times is like a nice Muscadet, at others more mountainous texture, but a pleasing mineral strain over a crisp green fruit layer. Really awfully nice.

  • Very pale, bordering on colorless in appearance, this wine showed the subtlest of nutty, almond elements on the nose. The mouth feel brought pleasant acidity and hints of under ripe both nectarine and white peach. The finish was medium with good lift from the high acidity.

Purchased for $15US, this was my first tasting of the obscure Nosiola grape, outside of having it in dessert style via Vin Santo. Told by my local wine merchant of this grapes neutral taste, I purchased some Taleggio cheese to try and jazz up this wine. The cheese was great but the wine remained neutral.
