OK, so maybe the 'pros' rated this too early in life, or perhaps they had less than perfect bottles. Whatever. With 5 years on it, the bottle I was fortunate enough to enjoy was textbook Meursault, but moreover, highly, highly enjoyable. One of my favorite wine experiences, let alone white wine experiences of the year - in a $40 package, who'd a thunk it? If I were teaching a class of somms on how classic Meursault should present, this would be my example. Hauntingly good.
