15.9% abv. Really liked the aromatics on this, dark and spicebox-like. Rich, soft, thick and expansive mouthfeel. Alcohol not noticeable except for the thick glycerin texture - no heat at all. Not really much fruit character at this stage, kind of dull actually, with no acidic lift. Not as much depth as one might expect and was missing that extra "gear" from a wine of this caliber. Overall, I was expecting more, I guess, as this just didn't leave much of an impression on me. I'd guess this was much better in its youth, as it just seems to be fading and losing energy at this stage.

Maybe not quite as impressive as a bottle three months ago, but it was still terrific. All kinds of "Rhoney" characteristics - pepper, grilled meats, garrigue, etc. Great wine, an absolutely bodacious wine for the money. That said, it's probably time to drink up.

Easily the WOTN at a Thanksgiving feast. Terrific nose, fairly rich, and reeking of grilled meats and pepper. What's not to like? At its peak, but not going anywhere soon.

Very structured with some tannin left and a bit of acidity. Dark and brooding, more savory than fruit-forward with a strong peppery note. Interesting and complex Syrah, drink or hold
