  • Intense neon green color. Powerful and intense aromas of fresh citrus fruits, crisp apples, some petrolly mineral character and a perfumed hint of apple blossom and other white flowers. The wine is dry but surprisingly full-bodied on the palate with a tingly attack that disappears quickly - suggesting a small dose of CO2. There are flavors of fresh apples, ripe citrus fruits and some steely minerality. The acidity feels moderate at most, which is pretty low for Riesling. Overall the wine feels like it is lacking in intensity and it is a bit austere on the palate, if compared to the more intense nose. The finish is pretty light and delicate with medium-long flavors of lemon juice, steely minerality, some green apples and a hint of herbal greenness.

Meh. A pretty average everyday Riesling with very little character to remember. The nose promised much more than what the palate could deliver. Lacking a bit in all departments: fruit, structure, complexity, length. At most this is an acceptable everyday white, but at 9,98€ I can come up with a dozen better buys.
