Community Tasting Notes (1) Avg Score: 84 points

  • color: light crimson-purple velvet; nose: sour cherries and oak -- very Old World; taste: light-to-medium-bodied mouth feel, tart cherry-green pepper taste, short-to-medium-length smokey vegetal finish with notes of black pepper, rhubarb, and leather; overall: interesting-tasting and unmistakenly Old World juice at a good price...albeit overly tight and young at this time -- as this wine will improve, I would let it rest until at least Fall 2015. Can't wait until then? Pair it with spaghetti bolognese or tomato-sauced pasta.
