  • Interesting, extracted and concentrated - reminiscent of Bordeaux style. Worth a try but nothing very notable about this vintage - worth trying a few different vintages to see what resonates (I think ‘12 was a touch better at the time). If you do pick this one up and have time, I’d wait - feels young and still slightly rough around the edges despite being pretty enjoyable overall.

  • Tasted immediately after opening. Opaque purple core, pink rim. Intriguing nose with hints of black forest berries, pine needles, medicine cabinet, eucalyptus and spicy oak. Ripe, dense and viscously textured – lacks a little depth on the mid-palate, but displays both firm structure and impressive length. Interesting and tasty – much like a jacked up Northern Rhone Syrah. However, at nearly $45 a bottle I'm doubtful I'll be buying more.

  • Very interesting Austrian autochthonous grape variety. Biodinamic winery. Tobacco, nuts & lush red berries. Thick, fresh & elegant. Well-integrated tannins, medium body.
Somehow it seems like Bordeaux for me.

  • VDEV Blaufrancish night (Ås, Norway): Blind tasted

    Ap: very dark purple
Ar: Sweet raisins, dark berries, herbs with good intensity.
Full bodied with good minerality. Fine-grained tannins and good palate.
    Very good length

Wine of the Blaufräncish night. Beautiful nose with a palate that wil need some more time to develop.

  • Don't know if I'm starting to get bored with this wine...
Not at all as overwhelming as the last TNs, but I'm not sure why. I get the same feeling of blueberry, sloanberry, maybe some lingonberry, spice and perfume. On the palate, dark fruit, cool, tart, but with some bitterness. Good length, but a bit dissapointing.
