Nice deep garnet color with a crimson rim. A bit dark cherry overshadowed by an alcohol nose. It may calm down in time. Tart cherry and slight dark fruits combined with mild oak on the palate with sharp tannins on the finish keep this from from scoring 90.
Medium dark garnet. Nose of dried cherries, noticeable alcohol, stems. Really big fruit, cool, but overly extracted. Good daily drinker, little else. Cocoa of Horse Heaven, fruit compote of Yakima.

Big, bold, concentrated Columbia Valley blend that is Cabernet Sauvignon-based. Strength of nose continues on the palate. Acid and tannins are harsh at first, but settle a bit with air. Ripe cherry and earth notes are prominent. The sheer power throws off the balance, but the acid and dusty note are welcomed. Nice cranberry-cherry stem finish. This could use some harmony, but nice effort at this QPR.

Sweet red fruits, lots of oak, chest tannins. Uninspired.

Had at a bistro in Kennewick WA. Raspberry nose. Smooth leather- surprising for a predominantly Syrah wine. Tannins could use a year or two.
