  • Light gold in color. Nose of peaches and pineapple with a hint of butterscotch. Full bodied, the fruit peaches and pineapple comes through in the mouth. The long buttery finish has a hint of minerality. This full malo chard is currently at peak maturity IMO.

  • Barrel sample. 110 cases made. Will be offered in 1 month. Anyone who has read any of my Chardonnay posts should know I am not a fan of this varietal. However, this bottling can hold its own with almost any California Chardonnay in its price range. Full Malolactic fermentation and aged in French Allier oak barrels. The sample I tried had been bottled for only 2 days and was still suffering some shock. However, it still had wonderful character. Golden color and a thick texture. Creamy fruit notes of pear, honey and praline on the finish. Medium bodied with vibrant acidity. 14.6% alcohol but showing no signs of any heat. 87-89 points.
