This has really improved over the last couple of years. A gorgeous nose of earthy and gamy notes with plums. Medium-full bodied on the palate, with excellent purity and more redfrruits, earth, garrigue, herbs and game. Ripe, smooth tannins provide structure. The syrah, which really excels in Pic St Loup, is really impressive and the wine has beautiful texture, balance and elegance. Outstanding QPR, this wine over-deliivers. Excellent now, but I think this will improve over the short-medium term (A-).

Nose: Dark and earthy notes, elegant dried french herbs Palate: Great acidity, good lenght, medium body, soft and fine grained tannins, dark cherries, herbs and leather,
Will not get any better, probably past its peak. If you are thinking of buying this vintage, dont. If you are thinking of buying a younger one. Go!

Same impressions as the first note. Great QPR here, with a lovely velvety texture and nice purity and balance. Gamy, earthy notes from the syrah shine through (A-).

This really punched above its weight (i.e., price). Great QPR wine from the Pic St Loup region of the Languedoc. This is all tank-based old vine syrah and grenache, no oak at all. The syrah really shines through, providing a wonderful punch of red berries and earthy, gamy notes, and the medium-full bodied palate has a great velvety texture and purity with a mouth-coating finish. Rich and deep, but not overdone. I'll buy more (A-).

Rich purple red in the glass, invites you in. Nose is subtle black fruit. Taste brings it all together with great acidity. Great value for money. Purchased at the cellar where you will be assured of a warm welcome!
