"Cana" as in "the wedding at Cana" where Jesus turned water into wine. Me thinks that the winemaker at Cana Vinyards is starting with better raw materials than Jesus. This wine is very good. Tramnette is a hybrid based on Gewurztraminer. The wine has flavours that certainly indicate its heritage. For this bottling, the wine has ripe fruit flavours, notably apple and lemon, as well as good acidity. But for the $20+ price tag, I could drink this all day long while sitting on the patio. It is better well-chilled ... getting flabby as it warms.
