Last btl of this. Mild cork taint. Has picked up a bit more jam than it used to as freshness has faded a bit. This has definitely lost that acid freshness and crunchy fruit it had previously. Oh well, the first three bottles are stellar and I would certainly seek this out in an updated vintage.

Last check in was 1.5 years ago. This is still truly outstanding for what it is. Round, pure, crunchy, low EtOH, and a pure joy to drink. With carnitas nachos... perfecto. Again, not a wine to wax poetic with, just one to have fun with and enjoy. This is dangerous stuff in that one can easily get through the btl without realizing it.

Every so often Zimmerman gets it right. This is one of those times. I totally agree with the Cote de Beaune meets S Rhone meets Bojo he alludes to. Inky purple that belies a delicacy and lightness on the palate. Just cherry fruit, licorice, lots of mineral, no wood detected. This is not vin de meditacion but simply something to enjoy for the pure and lovely experience. There is also a high geek factor given the locale (Asturias). Will probably continue to delight for 3-4 years but there is a crisp and crunchy Bojo freshness that could dampen with time in the bottle.

Note: I use a scale on which 85 represents a very good wine.
This is a difficult bottle for me to describe. At first, it was sort of harsh, but after some air time it smoothed out well. Not much left by Day 2. I will let the other one sit for a while.

I can't get enough of this #*%$. This could easily be anyone's house red. Yum, just yum. Hard not to suck down the whole bottle solo!
