AP 1 96. ABV 7.5%. During my visit to the winery last year, the wine maker explained to me his AP naming system, so this bottling was numero uno in ‘95 for Zilliken. Wow. This bottle was spectacular. Golden color. Very floral on the nose. With age, this was no longer so sweet. Pretty clean, no petrol. Pineapples and honey mainly, finished with touch of citrus. Precise and detailed. Plenty of acidity to keep this lively. No hint of alcohol and excellent balance. Great Auslese.

This bottle comes with some petrol, not as good as previous two bottles. Also seems to get sweeter with air, interesting.

Excellent. Clean and tropical wine that was less full bodied than its sweetness would suggest. Still has a lot of good years in front of it.
